So, we’re into Act 3 of the Suitcase Entrepreneur’s 30 Day Blog Challenge and we are talking about travel! Yay, I love, love love to travel! It started when I was 13 and my mum came home one day and said “We’re going to Disneyland!”
Having been brought up in one of the most rugged, rural settlements in little old New Zealand (which in itself is quite an isolated country), to even have the opportunity to travel overseas is a huge opportunity. Unlike Europe or parts of Asia where you can simply jump over the border to a new country and realistically can visit many countries in one day, we are at least a 3 and a half hour flight from our neighbours Australia.
So to be told we are going, of ALL places to America on a family holiday during the US summer was out of this world!!! Anyway, that was it really, the rest is history – my eyes were from then on, forever opened to the variety, cultures, exploration, adventure and excitement that can be gained through overseas travel. I’ve had some amazing travel opportunities already in my lifetime and also have more plans in the pipeline but I guess I’ll have to leave the chatter about that to another day… here’s a few travel pics for inspiration though…
Today, I’m asking the question “If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?”
Think about this for a moment. Sometimes we get so caught up in what we’re doing day to day, going to work, coming home, cooking, cleaning, exercising, socialising – we don’t even get a chance to step back and take a look over our circumstances to see how we could possibly have it any different.
In Act one of the Suitcase Entrepreneur 30 Day Challenge, we Painted a picture of our perfect day. In this post I wrote, I revealed how I am very lucky to be living my dreams in terms of daily routine and activity but what I am working on is being able to ramp up my online income in order to retire my husband from his job and to be able to take our family on more regular holidays. Travelling on a trip away from home once a month and a trip overseas at least every 6 months. So for me, it’s not necessarily about “living” in another country or environment as we are extremely happy with our current lifestyle but it’s about being able to fit in more regular family adventures away from home and overseas. This would be true freedom to me and is what I strive for every day in my life and business.
So what is it for you?
It may not be that you have to be living in another country but maybe you want to experience freedom in your life and business in other ways. Make sure you take some time to sit down and think about what this looks like to you and leave a comment with your ideas below. I’d really love to hear about them!
Well, I’m 7 days away from the end of this 30 Day Blog Challenge, this thing is getting HOTT!!! Stay tuned for the last of my posts which I will be putting extra love and attention into writing xox
Take care, until tomorrow!
