How to appreciate the down times
So, you know I’ve been CRAZY busy creating, promoting, analysing and adjusting everything in my online business throughout the past 2 months as we whizzed through the launch of ‘Take Off With Your Own Personal Brand’ right?
Well since I closed off sales last week, I’ve gotta tell ya – I’ve been a little bit lost in terms of what I’m doing. Going from having very specific, actionable tasks that were all high value activities within my business to now feeling like I’m in a definite ‘down time’. If you are feeling the same or have felt this way in the past and you want to know How to appreciate the down times, read on!
Last week, we hit a long weekend (Queen’s Birthday) here in Australia and I enjoyed some time out to enjoy beautiful food and rest and relaxation with my family. It was certainly needed!
So going from crazy busy to slowing down for a minute to just BE has been a massive blessing!
You see after I took a couple of days to disconnect and refresh, it dawned on me the value of this down time and that is the message that I wanted to share with you today about how best to utilise times like these…
How to appreciate the down times
This really is the time to be planning & prepping for the next wave of activity – whatever that may be. It’s a really powerful time to :
1. Step back and analyse
2. Make tweaks and adjustments
3. Plan the build up for the next wave coming your way
We’re in the ‘RINSE’ stage of ‘Apply – Rinse – Repeat’ which is a concept Roger Hamilton refers to in his book called Wink – it’s a really fun read, if you haven’t read it, I’d definitely recommend it.
Sustainable Wealth Follows A Rhythm
In the book Roger says that :
“When you have a vision and a focus, all your best work is done when you’re not working.” – Roger Hamilton
I thought that was such a powerful idea and wanted to challenge you to think about how you can utilise your down times by stepping back, analysing what you’re doing, rinsing and planning the build up for your next wave!
Long term success is about persistence
Another relevant key to remember is that your long term success is dependent on your continued persistence, commitment and determination to just keep going no matter what circumstances are staring you in the face right now.
Consistency is key and you WILL be rewarded! As I always say, most often you will be rewarded in a much bigger way than you could have even imagined. Just trust the process and let it go to work for you x
Right now, I’ve taken a step back, am looking in on things, adjusting ever so slightly but in a way that will be extremely powerful – I’m rinsing and will be ready soon to show you some refinements to my continued online business journey. Some refinements that will hopefully provide even more clarity around how I can better serve you, I’m really looking forward to it <3
Another great article that you may enjoy is entitled ‘5 Steps to becoming a Happy person others want to be around – And why being a moaner is a massive turnoff!‘ is one of my faves. Click here to check it out now!
And tell me, how are you going to utilise your down time? Think about that and leave a comment to let me know what your ideas are – don’t forget, I’m a real person writing these posts and will actually read your reply.
All of my best 🙂
